  • This is such an amazing place of worship. Pastors (executive, administrative and youth) are all great! I really LOVE it that they are Bible based, NEVER hard solicit for funds and provide a loving community environment for everyone. Active youth program, many small group studies, and a place where everyone can connect and worship.

  • When I first stepped into the church I knew within a few minutes this was the church for me. The sense of family and community is great here. The church is really focused on equipping believers to carry out the mission presented before all Christians.

Okay this is my Church year ago, I left to work for Prime inc. as a truck driver for 3 years to save money then i came back to this church the last two weeks of December all the way to the second Sunday of February. Ill make a list of the issues as i saw them. 1 they constantly ask for tithes and try to sell you on sending money in. I sent tithes in even when i was on the road. When i got back it was not uncommon for three to five times for them to ask you, remind you how to tithe for there church. 2 I listened to the sermons and found them incredibly soft. The Executive paster peter Williams was the paster i listened to. And to be honest i thought i was lucky if he mentioned God in the sermon as anything more then a passing reference. Does anyone else think it is Very odd that he needs to be know as the Executive pastor it sounds like he needs that confidence booster. 3 When i was there I saw a older Gentlemen Whose first name is Chad. I had personally seen him invite two girls on separate times to his home to drink. i have never seen him invite men. He is a successful businessman who travels to china on a annual basis. When i brought this up to Paster peter I was told it was not my concern. 4 I had called in several times when i had a difficult time with a passage and wanted to brainstorm with the paster he was never available and not once did he ever call me back to discuss a passage in the bible. 5 When i had first returned i had come on a Tuesday when i had arrived i had seen that i could not go to the main doors during business hours they where locked there was a side door i had to go there which had a intercom system. In order to get the program i wanted for the which listed the bible programs they had available at that intercom system i was asked around 25 questions some of which i don't believe they really needed to know. and when i finally did get the program it was slipped out through the mail slot. they said it was because of security they did not want to talk to me in person.... the door was locked in order for me to get in someone would have to meet me at the door. which i would have been perfectly happy to have talked to someone in person. they did not take the time to get to know me or welcome me back they basically said here is the program and goodbye. i almost did not go to church then however it was my church so i started to go to church. 6 if you look them up on the christian radio station website there is a listing of god fearing bible following church they are not listed as a church that follows the gospel. 7. when i brought these issues up with the pastor he said he would give it some thought. I went on to the international program after communicating my concerns with him. got done around 130pm at 422pm i finally received a call back from the pastor. I was informed that i was not a good fit for his church and i am not allowed to continue to attend his church or any bible studies. He said it was not about the issues i had discussed with him he told me the issue was that i had asked a ride from someone in a church group to my home sense my mother was using the vehicle and would take a bit of time to come pick me up. My mother was also a member of the church who had gone to the storage to get something and was using the suv. Now i do not know what is wrong with getting a ride but i do know there are many issues with this church. They are not gospel oriented. I put them in the same category as Al Sharpton even if there not preaching hate there not preaching God also. I write this review after praying for many weekends about what should be done. Everything i have written is true.

  • My husband I started coming to Mustard Seed Church August of 2015. We were new to Lawrence and looking for a permanent church family. We found this family atmosphere at MSC! Everyone was welcoming to us and encouraged us to come back and fellowship. We started getting involved in a Life Group and made a lot of connections with other people in the church. We have found Mustard Seed to be a Bible-believing, Scripture based church full of growth and love for the people of Lawrence. The lead pastor, who also came to the church August of 2015 has cast a vision for the church to reach the people of Lawrence. The whole leadership team of the church really connects and has a common goal: telling others about Christ! If you are looking for an excellent church with Bible based sermons, an active youth group and children's ministry, people of all ages, and mission-oriented, you will find your home at MSC!
